Zapf® BABY Born® dolls fit beautifully in the Ikea Duktig Doll Bed.

When I bought the Ikea Duktig doll bed I did not realize that the Zapf® BABY Born® dolls would fit so well in the bed. I knew that the length was correct but sometimes these things come together even better than expected, this is one of those times.

As you can see, with the doll in the bed, there is enough fabric in the sheet and blanket to tuck her in. This was something that I always liked as a child, that the bedding was large enough so I could tuck my 'baby' in. And that is something that I felt was very important for this pattern.

I used minkee fabric for the little blanket. It's a pretty heavy weight knit fabric but it's not at all stiff. It forms well and looks a little more natural. The duvet/comforter is next and that will be quite a different story : )

Mijn Zapf BABY Born popje is helemaal klaar voor de nacht. Toen ik het bedje kocht wist ik niet zeker of het wel helemaal mooi zou zijn, de lengte was goed dat wist ik wel, maar dat Zapf BABY Born® poppen zo mooi in het Ikea bedje zouden passen, dat wist ik niet. Soms moet je een beetje geluk hebben : )

Zoals je ziet, kan de pop fijn ingestopt worden. Het lakentje en de deken zijn breed en lang genoeg. Dat vond ik toen ik klein was altijd fijn: dat de 'baby' goed ingestopt kon worden : ) en dat wilde ik voor dit patroon natuurlijk dan ook zeker.

Voor het dekentje heb ik een heel soepele gebreide maar toch zware stof gebruikt, minkee, dan valt het het dekentje mooi en is niet zo stijf. Ik ga nu het dekbed maken en daar zal het een beetje anders zijn : )
