Nice warm sleeping in very cold nights. Our dolls need a warm cozy bed. You can buy at IKEA this wooden bed frame, but what it really needs is a new, thicker and of course handmade colorful bedding. And guess what? You can find the pattern at Wollyonline...for free: Happy Bedding Pattern

Lekker warm slapen in hele koude nachten.
I really like this pattern, because it has the exact measures for this IKEA bed. And you can endlessly vary with fabrics and colors, but also with the several versions of the bedding

Hopefully my photos will inspire you and you will also want to get started with the pattern

How nice is it to give your own twist to a pattern. For me it was the challenge to make from the pattern Dressing Up a set of ordinary clothes for the baby born. I myself like simple with a nice little detail. That is why I have chosen a combination of the patterns for the pirate, cook and the farmer's wife.
From the cook I made the kitchen apron,
from the farmers wife the skirt and the bandana and from the pirate the blouse.
In the pattern of the skirt I used 1 layer and shortened the length to 12 cm including seam allowance. I also didn't close the skirt at the back but only put a Velcro closure in the hem.
I first made the length of the blouse of the farmers wife.
But gradually I have shortened it with 3.5 cm because it is slightly spicier.
Here I am working on making the bias binding on the apron.
The attentive viewer has probably already seen that the end result is a different apron.
I did not have good daylight by searching the fabrics together and so you see that it is important ,because it did not color nicely together.

Now it has become a nice set, where the doll mothers can vary with the apron and the bandana.

Look how tough these guys are :-) / Kijk hoe stoer ze zijn! |
This time I made some clothing for boy dolls. Instead of sweet and girly fabric, I used scraps from when my son was a toddler. Using the “Boy Basics” pattern BD1612 , I made a hooded blouse and some pants to go with it. This was so much fun that I decided to make another set from the same pattern, to show what a difference fabric can make. Doll number 1 got a soft flanel shirt in a blue checkered pattern. I used velcro in front and added some buttons for fun. Doll number 2 got a cotton shirt, also with checkered pattern. This time, I used little plastic snaps for fastening. This was the first time I used those, and I love those! The pants are simple jeans, without extras. To complete the set, I knitted booties using scraps of stonewashed yarn. I do not remember where I got the pattern, but lots of free patterns for similar booties can be found via Pinterest.
eenvoudige spijkerbroeken, zonder extra’s.
I like these patterns so much that I am sure I will be making those in other colours too. There is a scrap of fabric with dinosaurs in my stash that will look amazing with this. A bit of ribbon along the rim of the hood will be nice too, or an applique... This would be nice for a girly doll too, using a sweet fabric.
I wish you lots of fun making dolls clothing!

These are not quick, it takes me a whole day to make 1 dressed doll but it's a JOY!!! And I'm going to keep going : )
I may turn it into a Wollyonline pattern at one point but for now I'm enjoying sewing them up!
Cheers,
Christel
Hi there,
Here I am again, a new year and a new dress!
My mum was in the mood so she sewed a dress for me.
Because..... I 'm going to a ball and some of my friends are coming too!
Take a look at all the pics and see how my lovely dress was made:
These are the fabrics and patterns.
Mum did some great sewing!
This time she left the embroidery machine to do his own thing
These little flowers made the dress complete
Well...sewing is done and it's time to see how my dress fits:
First on a mannequin
Oops, almost naked me ;-)
Oops, almost naked me ;-)
Here I am Princess Tertia
The crown is made with the embroidery machine, so yes, mum did use it.
If you want the embroidery pattern for the crown, just use this link and contact Christel:
I want to tell you that my mum runs a Facebook group for people who love to make doll clothes.

A new outfit for doll Andy
I was asked to make a clothes set for a doll named Andy. A little boy (36 cm) .
The most important color was orange. Because I did not have the doll here, I got the measurements. Searching by the Shop Wollyonline I found a patern. Happy me ☺
Deze bevat T-shirt, broek en capuchonvest.
Little doll pattern 32 cm Deutsche schnittmuster , kleine babypuppen. Art. nr. BD12F01
That includes T-shirt, pants and hooded vest.
The measurements were almost simular. Only the arms were shorter.
I made a double orange topstich to the jeans to make it cool.
Heel handig.
I watched the explaining on the youtube video Wollyonline how to make a lining into the vest.
This is very helpfull
To bring all the colors together of vest, pants and t-shirt I stitched a cool appliqué
I adjusted the vest to make it more boylike.
A little shorter and more straight, less gore at the side seams.
On this picture you see how straight the side seams become.
I love it!!! ♥♥♥♥

Hello everyone,
This time my "mum" made something for cold days.
This is the pattern she used: BD1602 English
She mixed 2 patterns to get mine done.
Sewing and embroidering is her hobby and I'm glad she's my "mum"!
She used Jogging fabric and Jersey (a knit fabric).
Those were leftovers from something she made for herself.
The only thing I can say is that I'm proud of her making such nice things for me:
Don't you think I look handsome in this new suit??
Greetings from my "mum" Liane
